Spring Boat Shop Tour: U-5/U-7/ U-57

Owner Ted Porter and Team Manager Mark Hooton opened up the Formulaboats.com shop in Decatur, IN to let James Crisp, Victor & Katie Brown take us on a pre-season tour. The shop is home for the U-5 Formulaboats.com, the U-7 Graham Trucking and U-57 Formulaboats.com Unlimited Hydroplanes.

It was another busy off-season in the Decatur shop, with inboard champion Scott Liddycoat joining the team as driver of the U-7 and Bianca Bononcini becoming the first enrollee in the team’s driver development program.

A lot of attention was given to Mark Evans’ U-57 ride and Mark feels the boat will be much better.

“On the short course in Madison, I might have the best of the three boats,” said a very positive Evans, who added, “It’s going to be a fun season. Bianca has a great attitude and I’m really looking forward to working with her.”
