LUCAS OIL RETURNS AS 2012 MADISON REGATTA TITLE SPONSOR
Madison Regatta Incorporated is announcing today the signing of Lucas Oil Products, Inc., as Title Sponsor for the 2012 Madison Regatta to be held on the Ohio River in Historic Madison, July 6th-8th, 2012.
Lucas Oil Products, Inc., produces a premium line of oils, greases and problem solving additives for the consumer automotive industry and also a heavy-duty line of products for the industrial and agricultural markets. Lucas Oil Products, Inc., additionally produces a complete product line for: heavy-duty commercial trucking, motorcycles, ATV/UTV, marine and industrial applications. Founded in 1989 by former trucking company owner Forrest Lucas and his wife Charlotte Lucas. The company has a major manufacturing facility and headquarters in Corydon, Indiana and corporate headquarters in Corona, California
2012 marks the 62th anniversary of the Madison Regatta featuring the fastest race boats in the world. The Lucas Oil Indiana Governor’s Cup Regatta along with a weeklong festival attracts upwards of 50,000 to 60,000 spectators. Madison will again also serve as the inaugural race site for the 2012 Air National Guard H1 Unlimited racing series.
Madison Regatta president Herb Parker stated, “We are gratified by the generous sponsorship opportunity Lucas Oil has provided to us once again. On behalf of the entire Madison Regatta organization and the city of Madison I want to thank the entire Lucas Oil organization. We appreciate having such a great company with close ties to Indiana support our event”.
Race fans attending this year’s event will see Unlimited Hydroplanes racing side by side at top speeds exceeding 200-mph on the Regatta’s Bill Cantrell Memorial Race Course. The event will culminate in the presentation of the Lucas Oil Indiana Governor’s Cup trophy to the race winner on Sunday afternoon, July 8th. The race dates for the Madison race are set for July 6-8, 2012.
