U-40 BUCKET LIST RETURNS TO H1 UNLIMITED IN 2026 WITH DYLAN RUNNE
The U-40 Bucket List Racing Team is proud to announce its return to the H1 Unlimited circuit for the 2026 season, with experienced driver Dylan Runne joining the team.
Owned by Kelly and Sharon Stocklin, the team elected to take a strategic pause during the 2025 season and now returns with full commitment, set to participate in pre-season testing as well as compete in the full race schedule.
“We’re not coming back halfway,” said Kelly Stocklin. “We’re coming back to compete fully. Every race, every lap. That’s what this team is about.”
A proven contender with historic speed
The U-40 Bucket List Racing Unlimited Hydroplane remains one of the most formidable boats in recent H1 history. At Guntersville in 2023, the team recorded a remarkable qualifying lap speed exceeding 171 mph, a record that still stands within the series. That level of performance continues to define the expectations surrounding the team as it returns to competition.
A driver who fits the vision
For the 2026 season, the team has selected Dylan Runne, a driver whose mindset, competitiveness, and strategic approach align directly with the values of Bucket List Racing.
“Dylan brings the attitude and the outlook on how to go racing that we believe in,” added the Stocklins. “His approach fits perfectly with what we want to build with this team, and we have full confidence in him behind the wheel.”
A third-generation racer with nearly 25 years of experience, Runne began competing at just nine years old in the Junior ranks. Originally from the East Coast and based in New Jersey, he has developed into one of the most complete drivers to emerge through the ranks.
Runne is an 11-time national champion across multiple categories and made history in the Hydroplane Racing League by becoming the first driver to win three consecutive championships in three different classes, while also earning Driver of the Year honors in 2019.
He previously competed in H1 Unlimited during the 2023 season and now returns ready to take the next step at the sport’s highest level. “Coming back to H1 Unlimited is a dream for me,” said Dylan Runne. “There’s still a lot to learn at this level, but we’re racers, and with this team and this boat, we’re here to push, improve, and be in the fight for wins.”
Building forward
The team has also expressed enthusiasm for the new race format set to be introduced for the 2026 season, particularly the updated start procedure.
“We believe the new race format will be great for the fans and for the teams,” said the Stocklins. “It brings more clarity, more consistency, and helps reduce the risk of incidents. That’s a win for everyone.”
