Chairman’s Corner: Chat, Streaming & H1 App

Steve_David_No_Logos_CropSocial media is transforming the way organizations market themselves through traditional and online media, and it’s safe to say that social media platforms have already changed the way we consume information.

With the start of the 2016 H1 Hydroplane season this weekend in Madison, Ind. at the MainSource Bank Indiana Governor’s Cup presented by Belterra Casino Resort, we are supercharging our online and social media efforts to allow even the casual fan an opportunity to follow the sport on more media platforms.

Last year, the only good way you could follow our races was on a web page through your computer. For 2016, we have already announced the creation of the 2016 H1 app and how it will give you a heads-up on all H1 & team events, race schedules, heat assignments, race results, points tracking and a link to live video streaming through Go Live Sports Cast. Live chat is fan service that can provide information and convenient, quick answers to our fans.

Beginning this Friday with the start of testing at the Madison Regatta, the app will also allow you to link directly to our live chat room, giving you live information directly from the pits along with the ability to converse with others from around the world and ask questions about the race and the sport, all through your smartphone. Joe McCord will handle the live chat during the MainSource Bank Indiana Governor’s Cup presented by Belterra Casino Resort.

With GoLive SportsCast video coverage, we will be broadcasting all of the action Saturday and Sunday from Madison. Not only will you be will be able to watch the race day streaming on our 2016 H1 app and your computer, but you will also be able to view the event on your television connected through Roku—and will be available for free to all our fans around the world.

We believe the best way to follow our sport is with our new H1 2016 app. The live chat, race results, updated schedule information, video links to live streaming is just a small piece of what the app provides. Archived video, photos, and other timely info that will impact our fan’s enjoyment throughout the season. Remember that some of the H1 2016 app features will be EXCLUSIVE and will not appear on the website or other social media platforms – making it an even more important part of following the entirety of H1 Unlimited, which in turn helps our fans to become more vocal advocates in helping us to grow our sport.

Follow H1 Unlimited on whatever media platform is best for you. You can use the H1 app on your computer, tablet or phone. Apple users can get it in the App Store and Android users can download it from the H1 website.

If we provide a worthwhile experience at the race site and now through social media, we can gain exponentially more credibility and interest to help grow the sport. Please give us a try and see what we have in store for you this weekend.

Let’s go racing in Madison!
