Media and interested fans gathered at Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar and Grill” in Sacramento Tuesday for a press conference in connection with the H1 Unlimited race schedule for Folsom Lake in May.

H1 Chairman Sam Cole and driver Brian Perkins answered questions and told the crowd they looked forward to being in the Sacramento area again and bringing the world’s fastest race boats back after a forty year absence.

Perkins told the crowd he and his Go Fast Turn Left race team looked forward to racing on Folsom Lake and felt the venue had the potential for great competition.

Answering a question from the media about his favorite race site, Perkins deferred to his hometown event in Seattle, explaining “Fans in Seattle who don’t make it to the race gather around for viewing parties to watch the TV coverage just the way you do for the Superbowl.”

Cole said he was excited to be bringing the sport back to Sacramento and added, “We look forward to making the event a permanent stop on the tour for years to come.”
